  • My aim was to produce a contemporary piece of sculpture which would work as a symbol of past and present conjoined, and resonate with its site on various levels.
  • This piece suggests a Standing Stone as well as one side of an invisible tetrahedron which can be visualised running below and above ground level. This timeless symbol is associated with the Knight’s Templar who once owned this land which was formerly part of the ancient port.
  • The 12th C Order went through many changes but was essentially idealistic – full of faith in both past and future. This idea seemed to parallel the wishes of the client for a sculpture for their large new legal offices in Temple Quay.
